What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Meyer?
As the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily warehouse operations and some customer service activities to ensure customer orders are filled accurately, on time, and safely. You’ll supervise warehouse and driver staff, manage inventory movement, and support day‑to‑day operations in accordance with Company safety and service standards.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise warehouse, driver, and operations staff.
- Oversee customer service requests to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Coordinate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Maintain inventory accuracy using barcoding and warehouse systems.
- Ensure equipment is used safely and in compliance with OSHA and Company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Enforce Company policies related to safety, attendance, and conduct.
- Support shipping systems used for pick/pack/ship operations.
- Schedule warehouse staff to meet daily and peak operational needs.
- Review and approve employee time records.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new employees.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–3 years of warehouse, operations, or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory systems.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, instructions, and basic reports.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other Meyer locations.
