We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardscape Foreman to lead and oversee the installation and construction of outdoor hardscape projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise hardscape crews in the installation of patios, retaining walls, walkways, stairs, and other outdoor features.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Coordinate with project managers to plan daily tasks, allocate resources, and meet project deadlines.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Operate or oversee the operation of heavy equipment such as compactors, excavators, and forklifts as needed for site preparation.
- Inspect ongoing work for accuracy, craftsmanship, and adherence to specifications; address issues promptly.
- Manage material procurement, fabrication of forms, and proper use of hand tools and power tools for efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on hardscape or masonry projects.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Skilled in concrete forming, masonry techniques, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, and related finishes.
- Familiarity with construction inspection procedures and safety protocols on active job sites.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently; experience with Schematics is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate multiple trades including carpentry, roofing, glazing (glass installation), cabinet installation, framing carpentry, door hanging, flooring installation, welding, restoration work, caulking, trim carpentry, flooring installation & tile laying.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical experience relevant to outdoor installations is advantageous.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Bluebeam or similar tools is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
