What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Patent Associate/Agent position at Meunier Carlin & Curfman LLC?
The associate/patent agent will prepare and prosecute patent applications for clients in the chemical industry, including corporations, universities, and research institutions. The associate/patent agent will have experience in and/or interest in pharmaceutical/small molecule prosecution work.
This position will perform tasks related to patent prosecution, including:
- drafting patent applications,
- preparing responses to office actions,
- arranging for patentability, infringement, and validity searches, and
- portfolio management.
Must be a registered with the USPTO and have 3 years of experience in patent drafting.
Advanced degree (PhD) in chemistry or a related area is required.
