About the Role

A MetroWall Purchasing Coordinator To assist with the ordering and sourcing of materials, supplies, labor and/or equipment and the follow through with vendors on shipment and delivery.

Responsibilities

Orders Management:

• Review glass lists and custom hardware requisitions for inconsistencies with shop drawings.
• Placing orders for project-specific components including glass, hardware, etc. with vendors according to MetroWall procedures.
• Placing orders for inventory items.
• Review vendor quotes for accuracy.
• Establishing delivery schedule for all orders placed.
• Communicate delivery dates and other details with internal personnel.
• Liaise with internal teams to understand project requirements and coordinate delivery dates and times.
• Place re-orders as required.
• Handle returns and credits with suppliers.

Vendor Management:

• Securing and analyzing quotations; negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and selects/make recommendation on suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness.
• Track orders and follow up with vendors as necessary to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist in obtaining samples as required.
• Work with vendors on quality issues to achieve amicable solutions for internal personnel, customers and suppliers.
• Assist in researching and qualifying new vendors as necessary.
• Maintain price list and critical details (POC, production capabilities, material stocked.

Report Analysis:

• Assist receiving and accounting to solve discrepancies on invoices packing lists.
• Maintain log of re-order tracking reasons, cost, and party responsible.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred).
• 2 years’ experience in supply chain coordination.
• Proficiency in Office 365.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
