What it's like to be a Client Care Specialist/Receptionist at MVSES
As a new Full-Time Client Care Specialist/Receptionist at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Service, you can expect an engaging and dynamic work environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include greeting clients warmly as they enter our veterinary office, managing incoming calls, and scheduling appointments with precision to ensure optimal client care. You will assist in the seamless flow of operations, processing patient records, and providing detailed information to clients about our services. Your shift will cover nights, 9 pm - 7 am , from Sunday through Wednesday, providing you the opportunity to make a significant impact during those critical hours.
Expect to collaborate closely with veterinarians and support staff, ensuring that each pet receives the attention it deserves. Additionally, you will handle client inquiries with empathy and professionalism, creating a comforting atmosphere for pet owners during stressful times. Experience with phone triage and familiarity with multi-extension phone systems are critical, as you’ll be managing incoming calls with competence and empathy.
Being dependable is crucial, as our clients and their pets rely on your consistency and support. You must possess strong communication skills to convey important information to clients and collaborate effectively with the veterinary team. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- High School Diploma
- Two years experience working in a veterinary office or similar medical office position
