Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveyor / Survey Technician to join our team. This position supports land surveying projects through field data collection, boundary and construction staking, preparation of survey documents, and operation of surveying equipment and software. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform field surveys including boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys
- Operate survey instruments such as GPS, total stations, data collectors, and levels
- Collect and record accurate field data
- Assist in preparing survey maps, plats, legal descriptions, and reports
- Read and interpret plans, maps, and legal descriptions
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical training in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of surveying principles, practices, and equipment
- Experience with CAD software
- Familiarity with GPS and robotic total station equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,400.00 per year
