JOB EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Position Purpose / Description
Under the supervision of the Principal, the JELCC/NCHS Receptionist serves as the primary host and first line of safety for the facility, welcoming visitors with refreshments, directing calls, managing visitor passes, and addressing website inquiries. The role is responsible for daily office operations, including organizing and ordering supplies, managing mail, maintaining master calendars and directory lists, and handling data entry for state reports and databases. Additionally, the receptionist supports administrative tasks, event marketing, and social media updates, while assisting with summer prep work such as updating staff lists, organizing office spaces, and covering assigned duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with strong customer service, communication, and public relations skills for interacting with students, parents, staff, and external agencies. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, general computer skills, and the ability to operate standard office equipment like printers, copiers, and fax machines. Applicants should be detail-oriented, organized, independent problem solvers who can multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
