What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engagement Specialist II-PT position at METROPOLITAN LIBRARY COMMISSION OF OKLAHOMA COUNTY?
Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library's strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library. This position will assist guests of all ages but will have a specific emphasis on adult programming.
This position will be assigned to the Del City Library, which is located at 4330 SE 15th Street in Del City, OK 73115.
The hiring salary for this position is $21.79 hourly. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. This position is not classified as exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The current need for this position requires that the candidate be available to work the following days: Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm or 9:00 to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
- One year of customer service experience.
HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
- Experience building sustainable community relationships.
- High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
