What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engagement Specialist II-PT position at METROPOLITAN LIBRARY COMMISSION OF OKLAHOMA COUNTY?
Summary: Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library's strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.
This position will be assigned to the Communities Libraries, which includes Choctaw, Luther, Jones, Nicoma Park, and Harrah Libraries.
The hiring salary for this position is $21.79 hourly. This is a half-time position working 20 hours per week. This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The current need for this position requires that the candidate be available to work the following days: Monday 9am to 6pm, Tuesday 8am to 12pm, and Saturday 8am to 5pm.

Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
- One year of customer service experience.
HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
- Experience building sustainable community relationships.
- High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
