Job Summary
The Ambassador is responsible for providing exceptional support to patients, visitors, and staff within the hospital environment. Working inside the facility, the Internal Ambassador ensures a welcoming, professional, and safe atmosphere by guiding individuals to their destinations, assisting with general inquiries, and providing non-clinical support to enhance the patient experience. Under the supervision of the MHS Team Lead or Manager, the Internal Ambassador plays a key role in improving customer satisfaction and operational flow within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and hospital staff in a courteous and professional manner

Provide directions and escort patients and visitors to appointments, departments, or waiting areas

Respond to general inquiries and resolve concerns or redirect appropriately

Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure smooth communication and support

Monitor high-traffic areas to ensure a welcoming and organized environment

Support patient discharge by coordinating transportation or providing wheelchair assistance if trained

Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance in all assigned areas

Communicate clearly with the MHS Team Lead or Manager regarding any incidents, delays, or unusual activity

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements

High School Diploma/GED

6 months of experience in a customer-facing or healthcare-related role preferred

Must be able to work legally in the United States

Must pass background and drug screenings

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy hospital environment

Passion for helping others and delivering excellent customer service

Required to meet immunization or health screening requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
