Position Description
The Records Management Division of the Metro Nashville Public Health Department provides all services related to the maintenance and retention of public, medical and vital records maintained by MPHD in Davidson County. This position’s primary role will be responsible for providing birth and death certificates to customers and assisting with vital, medical and non-medical records of customer service as needed.

Provides the highest standards of quality service to customers in the designated waiting areas.
Provides birth and death certificates to customers.
Explains required ID and documentation necessary for receiving records.
Receives payment in various formats to include cash, checks, and credit cards.
Performs routine clerical duties, typing, faxing, filing, scanning and copying.
Protects the confidentiality of each customer by verifying proof of required documentation while dealing effectively with them concerning their requests on the phone or in person.Prepare monthly reports.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma and Three (3) years of increasingly responsible clerical/administrative experience.
Valid class “D” driver’s license, use of personal vehicle, and maintenance of valid personal vehicle insurance as required by Tennessee Law.
