We’re currently seeking a Field Service Specialist with ion chromatography (IC) expertise to support our customers across Ohio, Kentucky, portions of West Virginia & Indiana, ideally based in the Columbus area.
🔬 What You’ll Do
As a Metrohm Field Service Specialist, you’ll be the face of our Ion Chromatography Service team—providing technical support and on-site service that keeps our customers’ instruments running at peak performance.
You will:
This role covers Ohio, Kentucky, western West Virginia, and the southern portion of Indiana, with periodic travel to other U.S. regions as needed. The territory includes a mix of urban and rural markets, offering opportunities to engage with a diverse customer base. Candidates should be comfortable managing travel across multiple states and adapting to varying client needs and environments.

🔬 What You’ll Do
As a Metrohm Field Service Specialist, you’ll be the face of our Ion Chromatography Service team—providing technical support and on-site service that keeps our customers’ instruments running at peak performance.
You will:
- Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, certifications, preventive maintenance, and refresher training for benchtop IC systems.
- Support customers both on-site and remotely (via phone, email, Teams).
- Partner with Process Analytics teams to support IC instruments in advanced process systems.
- Manage a dynamic schedule across a multi-state territory.
- Build strong customer relationships through expert service and communication.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

✅ What You Bring
- BS/BA in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience repairing ion chromatography or related laboratory instrumentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Strong time management and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory and occasionally outside the region.
- Previous experience traveling for field service work.
- Familiarity with process-based IC applications.
