The Why: Our Story
New Beginnings is a family owned and operated business. Owners, Kevin and Keara Everley have the experience and education needed to support their therapist’s needs. They have first hand experience from a parent’s perspective as their son received weekly Occupational Therapy through First Steps and continues to receive services through home health. Keara Everley is a certified Speech and Language Pathologist and has first hand experience with First Steps and home health as a working therapist. Kevin Everley graduated as an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist from EKU, which has given him both education and experience in the field of human resources. Together, this husband-wife team has all the key ingredients for a successful therapist and family-first business: education, experience and first hand perspective.
Position Summary:
The Clinic Support Specialist (CSS) plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for our clients, families, and clinical team. This position is responsible for front office operations, client communication, and administrative support to maintain efficient clinic flow.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position requiring availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during clinic operating hours.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet and check in clients and families, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
· Manage incoming calls, messages, and general inquiries
· Coordinate scheduling within the EMR system and communicate with clinical staff
· Support intake processes and collaborate with the intake team as needed
· Assist with insurance-related tasks, including verifying benefits and handling authorizations
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in all systems
· Monitor clinic flow and communicate client arrivals to staff promptly
· Address and de-escalate client concerns professionally, escalating when appropriate
· Support general administrative duties to ensure clinic efficiency
Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
· 1-3 years of relevant experience in a medical, therapy, or administrative setting preferred
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
· Experience with children, &/or children with disabilities
· Experience with EMR systems and insurance processes is a plus
· Quick study and eager to learn
· Demonstrate a self-initiative spirit
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 required
