Project Description: Provide temporary personnel for Fire, Accessibility & Code Compliance (FACC) division for MTA Construction and Development - Delivery Services Office (MTA C&D - DSO)
Professional / Technical Title: Associate Project Manager Level II (Code Compliance Specialist or Accessibility Specialist)).
- Duration of Service Required: 2080 hours
- Normal Work Week: Monday to Friday
- No. of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours;limited occasional overtime, when requested.(MTA Construction & Development does not pay for lunch hours.)
- Hours of Work: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (includes unpaid lunch)
Technical 80% and 20% Administrative:
Office: 60% and field: 40%

NYCT Mid-Point Salary: $112,899
Work Location: Space will be provided for the APM III at 2 Broadway, New York, NY. as well as in other locations, including, but not limited to:
525 N. Broadway, White Plains, NY;
420LexingtonAvenue,NewYork,NY;or
Jamaica Control Center-Long Island Railroad Yard, Jamaica, NY).
Qualifications Requirements:
- A bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration or public administration and 2 years’ experience; or
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six (6) years' experience.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in code enforcement, accessible design, plan review of fire department operations, energy conservation, or site inspections having served in a supervisory capacity or
Special Skills/Training Requirements:
OSHA 30-hour certification must be completed required prior to performing work on or near the wayside areas.
Demonstrated knowledge of building materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Successful completion of track safety training for NYC Transit, Metro-North Railroad or Long Island Railroad, as applicable.
The awarded consultant must complete the New York State (NYS) Code Enforcement Official Certification before work begins.
Description of Work:
Under supervision, candidate will review capital projects throughout all phases of the project life cycle (pre-design through closeout phases) for compliance with NYS Fire and Building Codes and the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”).
Review project drawings and narratives for the drafting of Master Plans, Scope of Work, and multiple design phases to ensure compliance with applicable Fire, Building, and ADA regulations, and provide written comments as needed.
Participate in design review meetings to verify that ADA requirements are fully integrated into project designs.
As directed, perform construction acceptance and/or maintenance inspections for Fire, Code and ADA compliance at stations and facilities undergoing rehabilitation, ensuring adherence to State Fire and Building Codes ADA Accessibility Guidelines, and documents.Under supervision, candidate will review capital projects throughout all phases of the project life cycle (pre-design through closeout phases) for compliance with NYS Fire and Building Codes and the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”).
