✨ What You’ll Do

As a key leader overseeing complex MEP programs, you will:

Program Leadership & Strategy

• Manage multiple MEP projects concurrently, ensuring they meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.
• Develop and implement program‑wide processes, standards, and best practices.
• Align project objectives with organizational goals across engineering, construction, and operations teams.

Project Execution & Coordination

• Lead project planning including resource allocation, schedules, risk strategies, and cost forecasting.
• Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to maintain fluid communication and resolve issues.
• Oversee the development, review, and approval of MEP designs, specifications, and construction drawings.

Technical Oversight

• Provide expert guidance on MEP systems, code compliance, and industry standards (ASHRAE, building codes, etc.).
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure delivery standards are met.
• Identify design discrepancies and drive technical resolutions.

Team Leadership & Development

• Mentor and manage a team of engineers, designers, and project managers.
• Assign workloads, establish objectives, and conduct performance reviews.
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture across project teams.

Financial & Risk Management

• Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal health and accuracy.
• Monitor costs, evaluate change orders, and implement cost‑saving measures where appropriate.
• Assess risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project stability.

Client Relationships & Communication

• Serve as the primary client contact for all MEP‑related matters.
• Maintain proactive communication regarding project status, risks, and decisions.
• Resolve client concerns swiftly while upholding project and program goals.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• Extensive technical knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and industry regulations.
• 10 years of experience managing complex engineering projects from design to construction.
• Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, BIM coordination, and project management tools.
• Strong financial acumen — budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• P.E. license a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $69.00/hr.
