Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support Quality and Test operations within a PCB and PCBA contract manufacturing environment. This role is focused on electrical troubleshooting, failure analysis, test support, and root‑cause investigation related to production issues, customer returns (RMAs), prototypes, and new product introductions (NPI). This is a technical, engineering-driven position, providing direct support to Quality and Test teams through analysis and problem solving. It is not an inspection, supervisory, or people‑management role. This position is 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering support for PCBA testing, debugging, and validation
• Perform failure analysis on RMAs, field returns, yield losses, and prototype builds
• Support test development, test coverage reviews, and continuous improvement of test procedures
• Troubleshoot issues down to the circuit, component, or assembly level
• Review and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, Gerbers, BOMs, and fabrication data
• Support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) through technical investigation and validation
• Assist with NPI and engineering builds, including product bring‑up and early‑stage troubleshooting
• Provide technical input for customer quality issues and investigations
• Serve as a technical resource supporting IPC, ISO, and ESD compliance initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, test engineering, or quality engineering
• Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB files, and Gerbers
• Hands‑on experience with electronic test equipment, including:
• Strong root‑cause analysis, documentation, and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor in an ESD-controlled environment

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC‑A‑610 and/or J‑STD‑001 certification
• Experience with CAPA, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or customer audits
• Exposure to MES, ERP, or QMS systems
• Experience supporting test engineering or validation activities

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Northfield, NH.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $54.65/hr.
