Metro Security Services is actively hiring Unarmed Security Officers to provide access control and guest services at a busy marina. This role is ideal for individuals who are alert, dependable, and confident enforcing policies while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor.
You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and a key part of maintaining a safe, secure, and organized environment.
Position Overview
As a Gate Access Officer, you will control entry to the property, verify credentials, and ensure only authorized individuals gain access. This role blends security enforcement with customer service, requiring both attention to detail and strong people skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Control access at entry points by verifying credentials for all guests, staff, and vehicles
- Politely but firmly challenge unauthorized individuals attempting to enter the property
- Maintain an accurate access log of all entries and exits
- Provide directions and assist guests with general questions in a professional manner
- Conduct routine patrols of gates, docks, perimeter fencing, and surrounding areas
- Monitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards
- Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
- Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when needed
- Maintain a visible, professional presence at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Prior security, military, or customer service experience preferred (not required – training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in all situations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to assigned schedule
- Comfortable standing, walking, and working outdoors for extended periods
- Must be available for evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed
