Metro Paws Animal Hospital – Skillman in Dallas, Texas is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated and compassionate team. As a key member of our clinical team, you’ll provide hands-on support to our veterinarians and help ensure that every pet receives exceptional care. We’re committed to operational excellence, client education, and a collaborative team culture.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer medications (IV, SQ, oral)
• Assist with physical exams, diagnostics, and treatments
• Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures
• Perform dental prophylaxis and take dental radiographs
• Take and process digital radiographs (including dental)
• Maintain accurate patient records and provide client education
• Care for patients and support discharge instructions
• Ensure a clean, safe, and low-stress environment for pets
  
  

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• 2 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience preferred
• Experience with anesthesia, dental cleanings, and surgical assistance
• Strong technical skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and safely restrain animals
• Availability to work one weekend day ($2/hr shift differential on Sundays)
