Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver & Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this dual role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites while also performing labor tasks essential to project progress. Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and water trucks in compliance with all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
- Transport construction materials, debris, and equipment efficiently across various job sites while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
- Assist with site preparation activities including excavation, grading, utility locating, and utility work to support ongoing construction operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery including Caterpillar equipment, loaders, excavators, dozers, and tankers to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Support construction utility work by assisting with horizontal drilling, paving projects, and site cleanup efforts as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations diligently, including equipment safety procedures and OSHA standards, to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with team members on construction grading tasks and site layout activities to ensure project specifications are met accurately.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.
- Prior construction experience involving heavy equipment operation such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, water trucks, or tankers is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor including loading/unloading materials and assisting with utility work on active sites.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations including excavation, grading, paving, and utility locating techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is preferred.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety compliance and operational efficiency.
