We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of various insulation techniques and materials, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals.
Responsibilities
- Install insulation materials in walls, ceilings, and floors according to specifications and building codes.
- Fabricate insulation components as needed for specific applications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform installation tasks.
- Conduct metal stud framing to support insulation installations.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians to ensure proper insulation around ductwork and equipment.
- Read blueprints and construction plans to determine insulation requirements for projects.
- Apply caulking and sealants as necessary to ensure airtight installations.
- Assist in drywall installation when required, ensuring a seamless finish.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in stucco application techniques is a plus.
- Strong ability to fabricate custom insulation solutions based on project needs.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks.
- Knowledge of metal stud framing practices is essential.
