Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insulation, air sealing, caulking, painting, drywalling, and carpentry.
Responsibilities:
- Install insulation in buildings to help control and maintain temperature
- Install various types of insulation such as fiberglass, spray foam, cellulose and rigid foam board
- Caulking and weatherstripping openings such as doors and windows
- Apply insulation around ducts, pipes, boilers, and tanks
- Maintain work equipment and vehicles
- Anticipate equipment and material needs ahead of time
- Communicate in a timely and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and supervisors
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and listening skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Comprehensive understanding of construction-related activities
- Proficiency in operating tools and equipment used to weatherize buildings
- Ability to foster a positive team environment
- Ability to read and follow work orders and other construction documents
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
- Strength, dexterity, and stamina needed to perform physical tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Insulator or similar role
- Familiarity with building construction for insulation purposes
- Ability to work on construction sites as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Work is tight spaces such as attics, and crawl spaces
