Industrial Pipefitter

Metro Services is looking to hire Industrial Pipefitters for a Manufacturing company in Kokomo, IN. This is a temp-to-hire position. Apply Now!

Duties for this position include:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to determine layout and installation procedures
• Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using hand and power tools
• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials
• Install and maintain high- and low-pressure piping systems for water, steam, air, and chemical lines
• Fit and assemble pipe components, valves, and supports using welding or mechanical methods
• Conduct pressure tests and inspect systems for leaks or defects
• Maintain and repair existing piping and welded systems
• Follow safety procedures and comply with all OSHA regulations and plant safety standards
• Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams

Compensation (USD):

$40.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

OT when needed

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• 3 years of experience as an industrial pipefitter with welding experience
• Must have a Journeyman certification
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret piping and welding blueprints
• Experience working with various pipe materials (carbon steel, stainless, copper, etc.)
• Welding certification is preferred but not required
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus
• Physically able to lift, bend, climb, and work in tight or elevated spaces
