What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at Metro Group Inc?
Exciting opportunity at a metal recycling facility with the Intermountain West's premier recycling company. Over the years with have worked with thousands of customers, from local residents with a few pounds of cans to large companies with truckloads of scrap material.
- Do you enjoy creating a "WOW" customer service experience? We are looking for someone who is friendly and outgoing. You will be interacting with a variety of managers, co-workers, and vendors. If you are willing to go the extra mile to help others with their questions or needs, you will be very popular here at Metro Group. Ideally you should be courteous, friendly and professional, both on the phone and in person.
- Do you like things to be organized and accurate? You will be coding, entering and paying a large volume of invoices. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical for your success. Ideally you will be pro-active and able to notice errors or unusual issues with a variety of invoices.
- Do you need a little schedule flexibility? As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will have some flexibility in your schedule. Need a couple of hours in the afternoon to attend a class? No problem. After the initial training period, you can also likely work from home one or two days a week.
- If you are looking to develop your accounting skills and learn new things, this could be a great opportunity. You will be involved in our month-end close, bank reconciliations, and other accounting duties. We will train you in this process and you will have the support of other accounting professionals in our corporate office. The role might be ideal for a recent graduate or student working on an accounting degree.
Minimum Qualifications:
- General familiarity with computers and office software (we can train you on our specific software)
- Ability to work Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (some flexibility)
