About the client
Our client is a well-funded technology organization operating at the frontier of its category. They move quickly, ship constantly, and are investing in AI as a core operating capability across the business.
The role
This is the first dedicated AI hire on the team, reporting directly into exec leadership. The mandate is operational: figure out how the company actually works today, find where AI can compress time and lift quality, and put working systems in place that the team genuinely uses.
You will spend your first weeks embedded with leadership and functional leads, shipping early wins fast, and within the first quarter you'll have a documented internal approach covering tools, prompts, and repeatable workflows for the functions that matter most.
What you'll own
- Auditing how work currently gets done across teams and mapping the highest-leverage places AI can help
- Designing, testing, and maintaining prompts and prompt chains for recurring business tasks (research, briefings, outreach, drafting, reporting)
- Building repeatable, documented workflows and a living internal prompt and playbook library
- Standing up lightweight automations and agentic workflows that remove manual handoffs across the existing tool stack (chat, docs, project management, productivity suite)
- Evaluating new tooling and making clear build / buy / configure calls
- Training non-technical teammates and driving real adoption
- Tracking adoption, time saved, and output quality, and iterating based on what the data shows
What we need to see
- Deep, daily, hands-on use of frontier AI tools in a real work setting
- A track record of putting AI workflows into production inside an organization, where teams actually rely on them
- Strong prompt engineering instincts across the major model families, including how to structure context, control outputs, and judge reliability
- Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks
- A systems thinker who sees workflows as connected processes
- Excellent communicator who can make this stuff land with non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Background in some mix of operations, product, strategy, or engineering — you understand where organizational friction actually lives
- High ownership; comfortable in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Nice to have
- Scripting ability (Python or JS) so you can wire things together yourself if needed
- Prior experience standing up an internal AI function from zero
- Background having worked at a Hedge Fund, PE Fund, or VC
Salary : $280,000 - $400,000
