The Role
Lead a high-performing branch operation with full P&L ownership. You'll be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a team across sales, operations, and warehouse, and building strong customer relationships across your market. This is a role for someone who wants to run their own business within a business - with the autonomy to make decisions and the accountability that comes with it.
Responsibilities
Full ownership of branch profitability, revenue growth, and margin management. Leading, developing, and retaining a team across sales, operations, warehouse, and delivery functions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, builders, and key accounts. Driving new business development alongside managing and growing existing customer accounts. Overseeing inventory management, purchasing, logistics, and fleet coordination. Managing branch budgets, forecasting, and reporting against targets. Ensuring a strong safety culture and full compliance with company and regulatory standards. Recruiting and onboarding new talent - building a bench that supports long-term growth. Collaborating with regional leadership on market strategy, pricing, and competitive positioning. Identifying opportunities to expand the branch's footprint and customer base within the local market. Representing the business in the local community and building a reputation as a trusted supply partner.
What We're Looking For
Proven branch or general management experience within building materials, construction products, or related distribution. A track record of growing revenue, managing costs, and delivering against a P&L. Strong leadership skills - someone who leads from the front, coaches their team, and holds people accountable. Commercial awareness and a deep understanding of the contractor, builder, and trade customer base. Experience managing warehouse and delivery operations alongside a sales function. Comfortable with CRM systems, inventory platforms, and reporting tools. Hands-on, solutions-oriented, and able to operate at pace in a fast-moving environment. Strong local market knowledge or a willingness to build it quickly. Someone who takes ownership of the numbers, the team, and the customer experience.
