Web and Graphic Designer

Metric Marketing helps clients grow through smart strategy and strong execution, built on a simple belief: that authenticity is a brand's greatest advantage, and great design is how a brand shows the world who it really is. We are looking for an exceptional graphic designer to bring our clients' brands and our own to life, from the logo up. This is a contract role with steady, varied work for the right person.

About the Role

You will be the design force behind a wide range of work, with brand and logo design at the heart of it. One day you might be building a brand identity from scratch, the next designing a website, the next turning out a set of social posts, an ad campaign, or large-format work like signage. We need someone who does beautiful, intentional work across all of it, and who cares as much about why a design works as how it looks.

What You'll Design

• Brands and logos: complete brand identities, logos, and visual systems built to last.
• Brand guidelines: clear, usable standards that keep a brand consistent everywhere it shows up.
• Websites: thoughtful, modern web design that balances beauty with usability.
• Social media: scroll-stopping posts and templates across platforms.
• Advertising: digital and print ad creative that earns attention and drives action.
• Print and large-scale: print-ready projects and large-format work such as signage.
• Everything else branded: presentations, decks, and the fun branding pieces that round out a brand's world.

What We're Looking For

• Exceptional brand and logo design skills; this is the core of the role and your portfolio should prove it.
• Strong website design ability, with an eye for layout, hierarchy, and user experience.
• Range across social, advertising, presentations, and other branded assets.
• Strong illustration skills are a big plus.
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud core (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma.
• Print production know-how: comfort preparing print-ready and large-format files with proper bleeds and color setup.
• A strong portfolio that shows both creativity and consistency across projects.
• Reliability and self-direction: you manage your own time, hit deadlines, and keep files organized.
• Open to improving and developing AI-assisted design processes, and willing to learn as those tools evolve.
• Collaborative: you take feedback well and work smoothly with writers, strategists, and account leads.

Details

• Contract (1099) position, with potential for employment.
• Remote-friendly, with the flexibility to collaborate from our Saline / Ann Arbor area offices as needed.
• You provide your own equipment, tools, and software.
