A top national homebuilder is seeking a VP of Purchasing to lead purchasing operations across its Florida division. This role will oversee vendor relationships, trade negotiations, budgeting, cost control, and purchasing strategy to support continued growth in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all purchasing, estimating, and vendor management functions
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, scopes of work, and trade agreements
- Manage budgets, cost savings initiatives, and margin improvement
- Partner closely with construction, operations, land, and finance teams
- Build and maintain strong trade partner relationships
- Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong purchasing leadership experience within production homebuilding
- Proven vendor negotiation and cost management experience
- Florida market experience preferred
- Ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally
- Strong understanding of construction costs, scopes, and trade relationships
