Metric Geo are partnered with a regional civil contractor in Oklahoma who are currently seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to lead utility construction crews on heavy civil infrastructure projects in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating crews and resources, and ensuring underground utility installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise utility crews, assigning work and monitoring daily productivity.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm systems.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and project requirements.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects progressing smoothly.
- Support workforce development through mentoring and training crew members.
Qualifications
- 4 years of utility construction experience, including crew leadership or foreman-level responsibilities.
- Experience with underground utility installation, excavation, and related construction equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and industry regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage schedules, resources, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
- Experience working on public sector or government-funded projects is advantageous.
