Sales Engineer – Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration
Location: United States (Field-Based | Major Metro Areas)
We are seeking a technically strong Sales Engineer to support commercial HVAC and refrigeration customers across a defined territory. This role combines engineering knowledge with consultative sales, supporting contractors, engineers, and end users on system selection, job walks, and project execution.
This is not a transactional sales role. You will own accounts end-to-end and act as a technical resource throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Manage a defined territory
- Support contractors and customers with system selection and applications
- Conduct job walks for commercial and industrial HVAC/refrigeration projects
- Provide technical guidance on equipment, codes, and compliance
- Drive sales across service, retrofit, and project opportunities
- Coordinate with inside sales and branch teams
- Develop long-term customer relationships within assigned markets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 1–8 years experience in HVAC, refrigeration, controls, or related fields
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn refrigeration systems
- Comfortable working in the field with customers and contractors
- Self-motivated, organized, and reliable
- Willing to work fully in-office when not in the field
