Estimator – Heavy Civil


Metric Geo is partnering with a leading heavy civil contractor to find a talented Estimator to support transportation projects, specifically in roads and bridges. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to complex infrastructure projects, provide accurate cost estimates, and help drive project success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor costs, and equipment estimates.
  • Analyze historical project data to develop reliable cost projections.
  • Assist in preparing bid packages and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Monitor conceptual estimates versus actual project costs and support cost control.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and efficient estimating processes.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute).
  • 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil or transportation projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented, solution-focused, and dependable.
