Civil Superintendent - Springfield, MO - Heavy Civil Construction
Metric are partnered with an impressive civil contractor in Missouri to find a Project Superintendent. The right candidate will lead field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications. This role will oversee daily site activities, subcontractor coordination, quality control, scheduling, and workforce management from project kickoff through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field operations and project execution.
- Drive project schedules and hit milestones.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labor, equipment, and materials.
- Lead quality control efforts and ensure work meets project specifications.
- Monitor productivity, manpower, and project costs against estimates.
- Maintain OSHA and company safety standards across the jobsite.
- Partner closely with Project Managers and Operations leadership.
- Create a positive, professional, and productive site culture.
Requirements
- 5 years of Superintendent experience in civil construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and team management abilities.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Experience managing self-perform work is a plus.
