Project Leader | Telecommunications | Mission Critical Construction

📍 Location: South Hill, VA

We're seeking an experienced Project Leader I with a strong background in Telecommunications & Low Voltage Construction to lead the successful delivery of complex Mission Critical infrastructure projects.

This position is responsible for overseeing projects from preconstruction through to close-out, ensuring successful delivery across planning, engineering, budgeting, execution, quality, safety, commissioning, and client satisfaction. You'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver critical communications infrastructure supporting some of the nation's most secure facilities.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of Telecommunications construction projects from planning and proposal through commissioning and project close-out.
• Manage multiple projects ranging from $500K - $10M in value.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, manpower plans, and financial performance.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage project financials, cost controls, forecasting, billing, and profitability.
• Lead project kick-off meetings, client reviews, and ongoing project reporting.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, estimates, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, contract specifications, quality standards, and safety expectations.
• Mentor Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams while driving collaboration and accountability across the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for continued business growth.

⚙️ What We're Looking For

• 7 years of Construction Project Management experience within Telecommunications or Low Voltage systems.
• Proven experience delivering projects from planning through commissioning and final close-out.
• Experience managing projects valued between $500K - $10M .
• Strong understanding of:
• Structured Cabling
• Fiber Optic Infrastructure
• OSP & ISP Networks
• CCTV
• Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
• Integrated Security Systems
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling (CPM), financial management, estimating, procurement, contract administration, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams while coordinating with engineering, operations, and field personnel.

🧰 Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
• Experience delivering projects across Federal Government, Aviation, Airports, Higher Education, Transportation, or Mission Critical environments.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Accubid, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working alongside Fire Alarm, Security, AV, Communications, Instrumentation, and Power systems is highly desirable.
