Metric Bio is partnering with a leading clinical research organization to identify an experienced Principal Investigator for a research site in New Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to provide medical and scientific leadership on innovative clinical programs focused on complex and underserved patient populations.
The Role
As Principal Investigator, you will be responsible for the overall conduct of clinical trials at the site, ensuring patient safety, protocol adherence, and regulatory compliance. You will serve as the primary clinical authority, working closely with site teams, sponsors, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Principal Investigator for clinical trials conducted at the New Jersey site
- Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA regulations, and study protocols
- Provide leadership, oversight, and mentorship to sub-investigators and research staff
- Conduct and oversee study-related medical evaluations and ensure patient safety
- Serve as the primary liaison with sponsors, IRBs, and regulatory agencies
- Contribute to site growth through feasibility assessments, study start-up, and enrolment support
Qualifications
- MD or DO (board-certified or board-eligible preferred)
- Active New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain
- Previous experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in clinical research
- Strong understanding of GCP, FDA regulations, and clinical trial operations
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Interest in working with complex and specialized patient populations
