Principal Investigator

Metric Bio is partnering with a leading clinical research organization to identify an experienced Principal Investigator for their Orlando research site.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing innovative clinical programs focused on underserved and complex patient populations.

The Role:

As Principal Investigator, you will provide medical and scientific leadership across multiple clinical studies, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with research staff, sponsors, and regulatory bodies while serving as the primary clinical authority at the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Principal Investigator for clinical trials conducted at the Orlando site
• Ensure study conduct complies with GCP, FDA regulations, and protocol requirements
• Provide oversight, training, and mentorship to sub-investigators and site staff
• Perform study-related medical assessments and ensure patient safety throughout trials
• Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, IRBs, and regulatory authorities
• Support site growth through protocol feasibility, start-up, and patient recruitment efforts

Qualifications:

• MD or DO (board-certified or board-eligible preferred)
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
• Prior experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in clinical research
• Strong knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations, and clinical trial operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Interest in working with complex and specialized patient populations
