Medical Device Assembler/R&D Technician
Full-Time | Hybrid | Atlanta, GA
I’m hiring a Medical Device Assembler to join the engineering team of an innovative medical technology company developing devices that directly support life-saving patient care.
This is a hands-on laboratory and workshop-based position focused on assembling prototypes and production-equivalent test units, preparing samples, building test fixtures and supporting bench testing.
You will work from engineering drawings and written instructions, use hand tools and measurement equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and basic electronic issues, and execute verification and validation test protocols. You will also accurately document test results, equipment activity, materials and any non-conformances in accordance with medical-device quality requirements.
It is suited to someone who enjoys practical bench work, building and modifying equipment, testing devices and solving hands-on technical problems.
The ideal candidate will bring:
• 2 years of experience in device assembly, laboratory testing or a similar hands-on technical environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools, measurement tools and test equipment
• Experience reading engineering drawings, work instructions and technical documentation
• Basic electronic troubleshooting skills, potentially including voltage checks, sensors or soldering
• Experience documenting work accurately within a regulated environment
• Medical-device, ISO 13485, FDA QSR or Good Documentation Practice experience is advantageous
• An associate degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
