About the Role
The firm is seeking an Operational Due Diligence (ODD) Specialist to join its Investor Relations (IR) team. The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between the firm’s operational infrastructure and its investors, supporting capital raising and client retention by clearly articulating the firm’s operational robustness, risk controls, and governance framework. This role is central to ensuring transparency and consistency in how the firm’s platform is presented externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary point of contact within Investor Relations for all operational due diligence inquiries from prospective and existing investors
- Leads the completion of DDQs (due diligence questionnaires), RFPs, and ad hoc investor requests related to operations, risk, compliance, and infrastructure
- Partners closely with internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Legal) to gather, validate, and present accurate information
- Maintains and enhances ODD materials, including DDQ libraries, presentations, and data rooms
- Supports investor meetings, calls, and onsite visits by addressing detailed operational and risk-related questions
- Ensures consistency and accuracy of messaging across all investor communications
- Monitors industry trends and evolving investor expectations regarding operational due diligence and transparency
- Assists with ongoing investor reporting related to operational developments, controls, and enhancements
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in operational due diligence, investor relations, risk, audit, or a related function within asset management or financial services
- Strong understanding of hedge fund operations, including trade lifecycle, valuation, and fund structures
- Experience responding to DDQs and interacting with institutional investors is highly desirable
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical operational detail into clear, investor-friendly language
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
