Credit Research Analyst (Energy)

We are working with a leading US Credit Fund that are looking for a Credit Research Analyst to join their investment team. The ideal candidate will have experience on the buy side covering high yield bonds and leveraged loans across Energy sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental analysis on high yield bonds and leveraged loans.
• Sector coverage: Energy
• Provide well formulated investment recommendations to portfolio managers and the investment committee.
• Develop detailed financial models and analysis on credits within your coverage.
• When required conduct debt restructuring on distressed names.
• Collaborate with other analysts on credits outside your remit.

Candidate Profile:

• 3-5 years of experience covering US high yield bonds and leveraged loans
• Must have experience covering Energy
• Buy side experience is preferred however open to candidates coming from a credit research desk or a leveraged finance background.
• Ability to build relationships with the street across investment banks, credit agencies etc.
• Excellent modelling skills and the ability to incorporate wider macro themes into your investment recommendations.
