Job description
We are launching a new U.S. branch of our Equity Research team and are looking for university students only to join us at an early stage.
Elphinstone Research Group is a registered charity and currently the largest student-led investment research organisation in the UK, with over 100 active student members from 20 leading UK universities. Following strong growth in the UK, we are now expanding to the United States, with the ambition of becoming the leading student investment research organisation globally.
This role mirrors the structure of our UK equity research teams and provides serious, hands-on equity research experience.

What you’ll do
• Work in a sector-focused equity research team
• Analyse public companies using fundamental research frameworks
• Build investment theses and contribute to full research reports
• Collaborate with other student analysts and a sector lead
• Present findings internally and take part in a simulated investment process

Who this is for
• Current university students only (undergraduate or postgraduate)
• Students studying economics, finance, business, political science, international relations, mathematics, computer science, or related fields
• Strong interest in financial markets and investing
• Willing to commit time consistently and work in a structured environment
No prior finance experience is required. Training and guidance are provided.

Compensation
This is an unpaid, student experience role.
The purpose of the position is to provide real investment research experience and exposure, similar to how student investment organisations operate at leading universities.
