Job Purpose:
- At Methodist Rehabilitation Center, the FT Non-Exempt role is all about bringing your mechanical and creative skills to the table. You'll be working with orthoses and prostheses, making sure everything is in tip-top shape and helping to create new ones. It's a hands-on job where you'll get to see the impact of your work every day!
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and fabricate orthoses and/or prostheses to ensure they meet the needs of our patients.
- Coordinate the workflow and production schedule to keep everything running smoothly.
- Keep an eye on inventory supplies and materials, making sure we never run out of the essentials.
- Assist with the training of our awesome O&P technical staff, sharing your knowledge and skills.
- Delegate daily work orders to ensure everyone knows what they're working on.
- Make sure production and turn-around times are timely, keeping our patients happy and healthy.
Required Education:
- Graduation from an NCOPE accredited technician program or past technical experience at an accredited Orthotic/Prosthetic facility.
- Production manager should be certified as a technician by ABC or working toward attaining that designation or have a similar certification and/or background in O&P.
Required Experience:
- Experience in repairing and fabricating orthoses and/or prostheses.
- Experience in coordinating work flow and managing production schedules.
- Experience in inventory control of supplies and materials.
- Experience in training and assisting O&P technical staff.
- Experience in daily delegation of work orders to ensure timely production and turn-around times.
