MHC is seeking Youth Care Workers for its multipurpose home in Goldsboro, NC.
Pay starts at $15/hour, based on education and experience
Shift: Nights, 10p-7a and days, 7a-10p
JOB DUTIES:
The primary responsibility of Direct Support Staff./Youth Care Worker is to provide program services to intervene with adolescents being served in a residential group home. The position's job responsibilities include implementing direct treatment services through use of the agency's model of care, providing residential care services, and working with adolescents, families, volunteers, and community representatives in the youth home and community settings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age;
- Minimum of a High School Diploma and experience working with client population.
- Must maintain a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
BENEFITS:
Paid Holidays: MHC gives full-time employees paid holidays each year.
Vacation Leave: First partial calendar year of hire is pro-rated at 10 days (80 hours) per year
Sick Leave: Paid sick leave is accumulated at 12 days (96 hours) per calendar year. All unused sick leave will carry over into the next calendar year.
Health Benefits: Employees may choose between the BCBS Medical Base HSA Plan or Medical Buy-Up HSA Plan. Dental and Vision plans are also available.

403B Plan: Employees can contribute to a tax-deferred annuity plan; MHC matches a portion of the contributed funds.

Methodist Home for Children provides multipurpose homes, which are long-term residential facilities for youth. Residency in our multipurpose homes has been proven to interrupt lifetime criminal behavior for Level II repeat juvenile offenders. MHC staff live and work in each home, serving 10 judicial districts, and implement a model of care that teaches teens to change problem behaviors and attitudes, expand their skills and recover from setbacks and mistakes.
