Job Description: We are seeking a full-time Cook to become integral members of our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for the residents and staff of our Assessment Center. Your role will contribute to fostering a healthy and positive atmosphere crucial to the well-being and rehabilitation of the youth in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Nutritious Meals: Create balanced and delicious meals and snacks for residents and staff, adhering to USDA guidelines and considering individual dietary needs.
- Menu Planning: Collaborate with the team to develop diverse and culturally sensitive weekly menus that meet nutritional standards.
- Kitchen Management: Assist in maintaining kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Recognize and accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds and preferences in meal planning and preparation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of one year in food preparation for large groups, preferably with adherence to specific dietary guidelines.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
- License: Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Training: Successful completion of pre-service and ongoing training, including physical restraint techniques, First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and medication administration.
