About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Kitchen Service Technician to support the daily operation and reliability of our commercial kitchen equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of kitchen systems, as well as supporting engineering leadership with accurate communication and documentation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, and basic HVAC components.
- Communicate repair status clearly and promptly with the Director of Engineering.
- Identify parts needed for repairs and coordinate with the Director of Engineering for ordering.
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform all scheduled preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment.
- Maintain accurate parts lists and assist with stocking required inventory.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Strong communication skills with both engineering leadership and kitchen staff.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort with repetitive bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, and climbing ladders throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial kitchen, refrigeration, or HVAC repair.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA certification (preferred but not required).
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
