Account Manager — Federal IT Sales Support
Norfolk or Omaha, Nebraska | Hybrid preferred; remote considered
Salary: $45,000–$60,000, with an opportunity for a year-end bonus
METGreen Solutions is hiring Account Managers to support our federal IT sales team. You’ll be paired with one sales professional and help them serve their customers by finding technology products, gathering pricing, preparing quotes, and keeping requests moving. You will support that person’s accounts rather than be expected to build your own book of business.
This is an entry-level opportunity with training provided. We’d welcome someone with customer service, administrative, purchasing, or sales support experience, as well as someone starting their career. What matters most is that you’re organized, careful with details, comfortable learning new systems, and willing to follow through when several requests are moving at once.
What you’ll do
- Research and source hardware, software, cloud solutions, and related services based on customer requirements.
- Request and confirm pricing, availability, product details, and lead times with distributors and technology partners.
- Prepare accurate quotes and revisions for your assigned sales professional.
- Help review bid requests, track deadlines, and gather the information needed for complete responses.
- Coordinate special pricing and deal registrations when needed.
- Keep quotes, opportunity details, and supporting documents organized in Salesforce and other systems.
- Communicate with partners, customers, and internal teams to resolve questions and keep work on schedule.
- Review purchase orders against quotes before handing awarded business to our operations team.
You’ll receive training in federal procurement, IT products, and METGreen’s sales processes. If you eventually want to move into an Account Executive role, this position can provide a path toward it. If you enjoy the account management work and want to grow in this role, that’s valued too.
What we’re looking for
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work.
- Clear communication and dependable follow-through.
- The ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
- Comfort using computers and learning new software.
- A high school diploma or GED.
A college degree, federal sales experience, and IT industry experience are welcome but not required.
We prefer someone who can work in our Norfolk or Omaha area office, or on a hybrid schedule, especially during training. We will consider remote candidates with the right fit for the role.
