About the Role

This is a hands-on role combining primarily inbound sales, quoting, some outbound sales, customer support, and technical problem-solving.

This role is initially working from home, but will transition to office based, with hybrid options. Future office will most likely be in the Farmington Utah area.

You’ll work directly with farmers, ranchers, agricultural businesses, dealers, contractors and other customers to understand what they are trying to achieve, recommend the right solution, and help them get the most out of their Meterra Systems products.

A typical conversation might start with a customer asking how they can remotely monitor a water tank, track conditions on their property, or control equipment remotely. You’ll need to ask the right questions, understand their setup, recommend the appropriate products, and prepare a quote.

You’ll also support existing customers when they need help setting up a device, understanding the app, diagnosing a connectivity issue, or figuring out why something isn't working as expected.

This role suits someone who enjoys talking to customers, solving problems, and working with technology.

Key Responsibilities

· Handle inbound sales inquiries by phone, email, and website.

· Speak with customers to understand their operation, application, and technical requirements.

· Recommend appropriate Meterra Systems products and solutions.

· Prepare and follow up on quotes.

· Identify opportunities to upsell or recommend additional products where they provide value to the customer.

· Explain technical products and concepts in simple, practical language.

· Assist customers with product installation, setup, and configuration over the phone and by email.

· Support customers in troubleshooting products that aren't operating as expected.

· Follow up with customers regarding both sales opportunities and support issues.

· Develop a strong understanding of the Meterra Systems product range and how our products are used in real-world applications.

· Conduct outbound emails to potential partners and dealers, and agricultural associations.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is technically capable, commercially aware, and great with people.

Ideally, you'll have:

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Confidence speaking with customers over the phone, with a friendly and positive attitude.

· Sales experience or a natural ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.

· Confidence troubleshooting technical problems logically.

· The ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.

· Strong organization and follow-up skills.

· The ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate an issue.

· A willingness to learn and develop a strong understanding of our products and their applications.

Experience in agriculture, ranching, IoT, electronics, electrical systems, telemetry, irrigation, remote monitoring, or technical sales/support would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.

What Success Looks Like

You'll become someone our customers trust to help them find the right solution and get it working.

You'll be able to take an inquiry from:

“I need to know when my water tank is getting low.”

From there, you’ll understand the customer's requirements, recommend the right solution, prepare the quote, close the sale, and help the customer get the system operating successfully.

Just as importantly, when an existing customer calls because something isn't working, you'll be comfortable working through the problem with them and getting them back up and running.
