We operate in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, leveraging advanced technology and automation to drive efficiency and accuracy across finance and operations.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, tech-savvy Financial Reporting & Fund Accounting Senior Associate or Manager to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a proven track record in public accounting, fund administration, or audit—particularly those who have managed complex fund structures and public company reporting, and who have led or implemented technology-driven process improvements.

Experience with SPACs entity reporting is required, private equity, or hedge funds is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

SPAC Accounting & Public Company Oversight

  • Lead the accounting and financial reporting for multiple SPAC sponsor entities and public shell companies.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), coordinating with legal counsel, auditors, and public company accountants.
  • Manage pro forma financials and technical accounting analyses for de-SPAC transactions and M&A activity.
  • Provide CFO-level insights through advanced reporting, analytics, and reconciliations.

Private Fund & Management Company Accounting

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly closes for private funds and management companies, ensuring accurate calculation of NAVs, management/incentive fees, and complex allocations.
  • Review and enhance valuation processes for illiquid and hard-to-value securities.
  • Manage annual audits in collaboration with fund administrators and external auditors.
  • Drive improvements in investor reporting, workflow, and controls.

Technology & Automation Leadership

  • Design and implement automation solutions using advanced Excel, Python, VBA, or Alteryx to enhance reporting, reconciliation, and data management.
  • Lead technology initiatives leveraging AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to streamline document preparation, data workflows, and internal controls.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for accounting technology adoption, training, and process optimization.

Leadership & Project Management

  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and on-the-job training.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance operations.
  • Represent the finance function in technology selection, implementation, and integration efforts.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in public accounting, fund accounting, or audit, with significant exposure to investment funds, SEC clients, or SPACs.
  • CPA required.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, fund accounting, and public company reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, projects, or client relationships.
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, macros), Python, VBA, or Alteryx; experience with fund accounting/GL systems (Enfusion, Investran, Geneva) and SEC filing tools (ActiveDisclosure, Workiva) strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements through technology, including automation and AI/LLM applications.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting and technical concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Location & Work Style

  • Hybrid preferred (Boca Raton, FL, 2–3 days/week), but open to strong remote candidates on Eastern hours with occasional travel.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial team with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
