Location: Davenport, IA (Onsite)

Duration: 7 Month Contract

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Utility Revenue Specialist to support utility billing operations and ensure accurate, timely customer billing. This role is responsible for investigating billing discrepancies, processing billing adjustments, maintaining compliance with internal procedures, and supporting operational efficiency initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve utility billing discrepancies using the customer information system (CSS).
• Process billing corrections and account adjustments in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
• Interpret utility tariffs, billing policies, and regulatory guidelines to ensure billing accuracy.
• Research and respond to customer billing inquiries and related issues.
• Maintain accurate billing records, reports, and tracking logs using Microsoft Excel.
• Assist with documentation updates and process improvement initiatives related to billing operations.
• Support special billing projects and additional operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous utility billing, customer service, finance, or data analysis experience is a plus.
• Experience working with customer information or billing systems.
• Understanding of utility billing practices, tariffs, and compliance standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
