Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and snow plows with safety protocol adherence
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and plant health
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to provide appropriate care and pest management solutions
- Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Apply pesticides responsibly following safety guidelines to control pests while protecting the environment
- Conduct regular inspections of landscapes for hazards or issues requiring attention or repair
Experience
- Proven outdoor work experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, tree trimming, and snow plowing
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant identification techniques
- Experience with irrigation systems installation and management is preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments
