Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this critical role, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex, life-threatening conditions across various medical disciplines.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing ventilators.
- Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized care plans aligned with physician directives and evidence-based practices.
- Utilize advanced skills such as airway management, IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and aseptic technique to support patient stability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case managers—to coordinate treatment strategies.
- Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by executing protocols for acute pain management, trauma medicine, or infectious disease care.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and interpreting physiological data to inform clinical decisions.
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education to promote recovery at home or in long-term care settings.
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure sterile processing procedures are followed meticulously.
- Support specialized units such as PICU (Pediatric ICU), neonatal ventilator management, or trauma centers based on experience.
