Job Description:
The SAP Functional Consultant for Order Management plays a crucial role in aligning the functional capabilities of the SAP S/4 solution with the strategic goals of the FCS organization. This position is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in the SAP S/4 Order Management solution, ensuring it effectively supports FCS business processes and enhances operational efficiency. The SAP Functional Consultant for Order Management will be a highly experienced business analyst who acts as a subject matter expert for all sales and distribution (SD) processes within SAP. The role involves working with the FCS business\technical teams and the solution integrator to analyze requirements, design best in class solutions, configure the SAP S/4 system, and test/deploy the SAP S/4 HANA solution for FCS.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Business process optimization: Analyze existing OTC processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements. Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure SAP configurations align with business goals.
Requirements gathering and documentation: Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders to elicit, define, and document detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
Solution design and configuration: Design and configure SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) modules to meet business needs. This includes areas such as sales order management, pricing, billing, and credit management.
Project management: Manage key tasks and workstreams such as data migration, integrations with other systems (e.g., FI/CO, Material Management, Logistics Execution, Purchasing).
Testing and quality assurance: Create test plans, write test cases, and coordinate testing efforts (unit, integration, and user acceptance) to ensure all system changes and enhancements function correctly.
Training and support: Develop training materials and provide guidance to end-users to ensure they can effectively use the SAP system. Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving post launch issues.
Reporting and analytics: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights into Order To Cash performance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position. However, for specific projects, the position may require leadership skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Educational: A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Information Technology or Business Administration. SAP Certification(s) in the Sales and Distribution module is a plus.
• Technical expertise: In-depth functional knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA within the OTC/SD module. Strong experience writing functional specification documents and hands-on experience with SAP configuration. ABAP knowledge is a plus.
o Designing, implementing, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)processes to ensure seamless electronic document exchange with trading partners
o Familiarity with integration and middleware technologies
o Batch job management
o Transport management
o Experience in Data Migration (extraction, cleansing, loading and validation)
o ABAP knowledge is a plus
o BTP (Business Technology Platform – Cloud based) knowledge is a plus.
• Business knowledge: A deep understanding of core business processes such as sales order management, pricing procedures, billing, accounts receivable, and inventory.
o SAP experience in Automotive industry in an SAP role is a plus
o SAP experience in the Automotive aftermarket industry is a plus
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities: The capacity to identify and troubleshoot complex business and system issues, and to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Communication and leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, manage expectations & train end-users.
• Project experience: Proven experience working on at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementation projects with at least one Greenfield.
• Experience with integrations: Knowledge of how OTC integrates with other SAP modules (FI/MM/WM), as well as third-party systems.
