Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The SAP Functional Consultant for Finance plays a crucial role in aligning the functional capabilities of the SAP S/4
solution with the strategic goals of the FCS organization. This position is responsible for providing subject matter
expertise in the SAP S/4 Finance solution, ensuring it effectively supports FCS business processes and enhances
operational efficiency. The SAP Functional Consultant for Finance will be a highly experienced business analyst who
acts as a subject matter expert for all Financial processes within SAP. The role involves working with the FCS Finance
and other business teams, the FCS IT team, and the solution integrator to analyze requirements, design best in class
solutions, configure the SAP S/4 system, and test/deploy the SAP S/4 HANA solution for FCS.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Elicit and document detailed business requirements for
financial processes, performing fit-gap analyses to determine how to best implement them in SAP S4 HANA.
· System Configuration: Configure SAP FI-CO modules (e.g., general ledger, product costing, costing based CO-
PA, account based CO-PA, also known as Margin analysis) to meet business needs and standards.
· Integration & Collaboration: Ensure seamless integration of FICO with other SAP modules (SD, MM, IM) and
external financial applications (such as AR Settlements, Check payment and remittance advice with Banks,
ADP payments with ADP), collaborating with IT and business teams.
· Testing & Deployment: Develop test plans, execute test scenarios, and validate results, supporting the
deployment of new FI-CO solutions.
· Communication and leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate
with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, manage expectations & train end-users.
· Experience with integrations: Knowledge of how FI-CO integrates with other SAP modules like Sales and
Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Purchasing and Inventory Management (IM), as well as
third-party systems.
· Experience with SAP S/4 standard product in the areas of Credit Checks, Pricing, and Month End Close.
· Support & Problem-Solving: Provide post launch support for SAP FI-CO, including troubleshooting issues,
resolving incidents, and performing root cause analysis.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position. However, for specific projects, the position may require
leadership skills.
Job Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Educational: A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Information Technology or Business
Administration. SAP Certification(s) in the FI-CO module is a plus.
· Technical expertise: In-depth functional knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA within the FI-CO module.
Strong experience writing functional specification documents and hands-on experience with SAP
configuration. ABAP knowledge is a plus.

o Experience in Data Migration (extraction, cleansing, loading and validation)
o BTP (Business Technology Platform – Cloud based) knowledge is a plus.
· Deep understanding of core SAP FI-CO functionalities, including costing based CO-PA, account based CO-PA,
general ledger, controlling, product costing, and asset accounting.
· Familiarity with integration points between FI-CO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, IM).
· Knowledge of financial regulations, including VAT and Tariff reporting.
· Analytical and problem-solving abilities: The capacity to identify and troubleshoot complex business and
system issues, and to translate business needs into technical solutions.
· Communication and leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate
with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, manage expectations & train end-users.
· Project experience: Proven experience working on at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementation projects.
